Federal Revenue Car Auction: Find Out How to Win Your Car!

To the delight of Brazilians, the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service at the Customs Office of the Port of Santos (SP) is planning a new Federal Revenue Car Auction, involving confiscated or discarded goods and vehicles. Apparently, a total of 100 lots will be made available, ranging from used cars to a pedal boat, as well as parts and accessories for vehicles, smartphones, cameras, laptops, headphones, smartwatches and a variety of other products.

It is important to keep in mind that the auction will be conducted online. Interested parties must bid for closed lots – that is, a specific set of items. The most accessible lot is number 73, with an initial bid starting at R$ 250, containing an electric scooter.

Who can participate in the auction?

Below, you can check the basic requirements for participating in the Federal Revenue Car Auction. If you are interested, be sure to read the items carefully and assess whether you fit each of them.

Basic requirements:

  • Individuals:
    • Be over 18 years old or emancipated.
    • Have a valid Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF).
    • Have a Silver or Gold reliability seal in the Federal Government's digital identity system.
  • Legal entities:
    • Have a regular National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ).
    • The company's manager or their attorney must have a Silver or Gold reliability seal in the Federal Government's digital identity system.

  • Minors: They cannot participate in auctions, even if emancipated.
  • Foreigners: They can participate in auctions, but they must have a legal representative in Brazil.
  • Public servants: They are prevented from participating in auctions of public administration assets that are under their responsibility.
  • Unable: Interdicted or insolvent persons cannot participate in auctions.

How to register for the Federal Revenue Car Auction?

To participate in the auction by submitting a bid, the interested party must follow the steps below.

1. Access the Electronic Auction System:

  • Between February 21st and 28th, during the hours established by the Federal Revenue Service, access the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) through the website: https://cav.receita.fazenda.gov.br/.
  • Log in with your CPF and password.
  • In the main menu, locate the “Auctions” option and click on “Electronic Auction System”.

2. Select the auction and lot:

  • On the Electronic Auction System page, locate the “Ongoing Auctions” tab.
  • Search for the auction you are interested in, using the notice number: 0817800/000001/2024 – PORT OF SANTOS.
  • Click on the auction link to view details of the available lots.
  • Choose the lot you want to bid on and click “Add Bid”.

3. Include the proposal:

  • Please read the auction terms and conditions carefully before proceeding.
  • Enter the bid amount you wish to place. Important: the bid value must be higher than the minimum value established by the Federal Revenue Service for the lot.
  • Please check that all the data in the proposal is correct before confirming.
  • Click “Save” to submit your proposal.

4. Auction monitoring:

  • After submitting your proposal, you will be able to follow the progress of the auction in the Electronic Auction System.
  • The system will inform you if your bid was the highest and if you won the lot.
  • If you are the winner, you will receive instructions on how to make the payment and collect the item you have won.
